Hi yall!  Hey Beth, Phy Ed is my favorite class so what u 
talking about?  Yea, it's just so fun.  Today we didn't do 
anything!  We just talked and stuff.  I have it 10th hour, 
haha,  the last hour of the day.  That's stupid that they call 
it 10th hour because there's only 8 periods in a day and one of 
them is lunch. They made 4/5, 6/7, and 7/8 period?  Who can 
understand that?  Crazy.

Hi there,

I was just reading what everybody put about the current 
situation that the U.S is in. Let me put my 2 cents in, since I 
am a lot older than you and have more to lose than you.

1. As of I think Friday of last week, Congress gave 
George "dubya" Bush full permission to use "all neccessary 
force", in other words, do whatever the hell you want, which 
means we are in a war right as I am typing this.

2. Bush has said, don't quote me on this by the way, that "these 
weren't acts of terrorism, they were acts of war." Dubya has 
full permission to, and has already begun, start sending troops 
over to Afganistan and the neighboring countries. 

3. Dubya has also said that this is going to be a long conflict, 
meaning it will take a long time for this to end. If it takes 
long enough, they will initiate the "Draft". When a male turns 
18 years old they get a thing in the mail. It is a "Selective 
Service" card. Every single male in the United States gets one, 
no matter what color, race, religion, size, shape, all males get 
one. On that said card, there is a "registration Number". When 
they initiate the draft, they will start basically pulling 
numbers out of a hat(not literally, but it's kinda like it). It 
is totally random. They then start filtering out the Disabled, 
men with small children, newlyweds, full-time students
(sometimes), after that is done, they do it again(if they need 
more troops).

4. Dubya also stated that the war is against anyone who helps 
Osama Bin Laden, the man thought to be the one behind these acts 
of war. Osama Bin Laden is the leader of a terrorist group, who 
in 1993, bombed the World Trade Center's basement. He was 
unsuccessful. He then vowed to bring down the twin towers of the 
Trade Center. He also bombed US Embassy's in Kenya and other 
countries. He has been on the FBI's 10 most wanted list for 8 
years. 

5. Muslims don't hate the American's, they hate our way of life. 
Muslims have a strong faith system.  They are against drinking, 
sex for pleasure, Capitalism, free trade, and so on and so 
forth. Americans participate in those activities on a daily 
basis, some more than others. In some Muslim's eyes, we are the 
devil, and we must be dealt with, some of them take it to 
extreems and declare a "Jehad" which is like a holy war.

6. Terrorists have Sleepers. Sleepers are the people who 
hijacked the 4 airplanes and killed all those people. They come 
from their country to live in the US. They learn different kinds 
of tacticts such as, flying an airliner, fake documents, they 
learn where the country or group they are attacking are the 
weakest. They could be in the country for years before they 
strike, they are learning all the stuff while they are here, 
then when they are knowledgeable enough, they strike. There are 
still sleepers in the U.S that the government doesn't know 
about, it's a fact, there could be hundreds of these sleepers. 
The bad part is, No one knows where they are or when they will 
follow their leaders instructions.

That's just about it Ladies and Gentlemen. I hope I have been 
helpful in your quest for knowledge. I have to remind you that I 
have many more opinions and facts about what is going on.  So if

think we're gonna drop that.  All of the religious leaders are 
getting together to make a decision. Some say that the Keran 
says they can't and others say that it doesn't say anything 
about it.  
   Pakistan is totally behind us and told the U.S. that we could 
use their air space.  We already have soldiers stationed in 
Pakistan and they closed the borders between Afghanistan and 
Pakistan.  I know a ton more because we talk about it in Civics

Are we at War?

No   not in the legal sense of the word, because war has not 
been declared. And not in the strict political-military sense of 
the word, because our "enemy" in this instance is not 
necessarily a rival state. Friday morning, however, President 
Bush received authorization from the U.S. Senate to use military 
force in the fight against terrorism. According to the 
Associated Press, the President plans to call up as many as 
50,000 members of the National Guard and Reserves to help in the 
rescue and relief efforts. 

If the latest outrage was perpetrated by Osama Bin Laden, then 
it is part of an ongoing low-intensity war. Bin Laden is waging 
a 'jihad' or 'holy war' whose aim is to terrorize the U.S. into 
withdrawing entirely from the Middle East and Gulf region. U.S. 
personnel have traditionally worked with allied intelligence 
agencies for years to thwart the Bin Laden threat and take down 
his networks. Now the U.S. will escalate its campaign, and 
punish any states that may have assisted Bin Laden. But 
this "war" is a complex combination of intelligence, security, 
diplomatic and military maneuvers that is unlikely to involve 
large-scale troop commitments or traditional military 
deployments. 

Will there be a draft?

Not before an escalation in conflict that is barely imaginable 
at this point. The Army alone has over 1 million professional 
soldiers, and the U.S. Armed Forces already have the capability 
to fight a major war with an enemy the size of China or Russia. 
The enemy in this case is a small band of terrorists and 
possibly nations that support them; air strikes and small 
Special-Ops-type operations are the most likely options at this 
point. 

A full-scale invasion and occupation of a country such as 
Afghanistan would likely result in the activation or reserves, 
certainly. But remember  drafted soldiers take 6 months to train 
properly, and at this point no one is imagining a protracted 
large-scale conflict on the order of WWII or even Vietnam. It s 
just not that kind of enemy. But as we ve learned this week, the 
unimaginable is always possible

Hey! What's Up?
    OMG! Last night was so fun! I have to explain. Since I'm in 
Nicholas Nickleby I got to go down to the Playhouse to get 
costumes with Mrs. Swing, Andrew, Chris, Gerhard and Natalie. 
Well, I wanted to play the cowbell for Pep Band just this once 
and the band teacher, Mr. Alexander, wouldn't let me. So I was 
complaining to Andrew and Chris says "Yeah, since I'm the head 
of the percussion section I could actually authorize it so you 
could play the cowbell... but just this once." Well, I got to 
play the cowbell but Laura, (do you remember her? with the 
purple hair?) who was supposed to show me how left to get her 
boyfriend, Talis, from Superior. So, I was like "How the hell do 
I play this thing?!" I was just standing there and we were gonna 
play in like 3 minutes and Andrew says to this other percussion 
guy named Nathan, "Show her how to play the cowbell in two 
minutes." So that's how I learned to play the cowbell with help 
from Marc too.

I'm with Trojan girl...well in a way... it's not about the 
school its about the people - and I realize that not everyone 
does that - that act like they are better because of where they 
go to school. School rivalry is one thing but treating someone 
poorly cuz of where they go to school is very different! I went 
to school with a lot of people who went to East also and they 
made fun of me for 3 years just because they knew I was going to 
Central. Sometimes even teachers seemed to look down on me if 
they knew that... or that's how it seemed. But guess what, I 
have met some of the nicest, sweetest people I've ever known at 
Central and I'm having the time of my life!!!!! Seeing I don't 
go there I can't just sit here and talk bad about East or any 
other school so I guess all I can say is we both know from 
experience that some people have been pretty mean to us over

California is boring if you're a resident. Everything is way to 
expensive. I live down the street from Disneyland, and I've only 
been there once. There's the beach, but that gets old real fast, 
we have the mountains, but it's a 2 hour drive and it cost a lot 
of money for gas, food, cabin rental, etc.., we have the desert 
but that too is far away. I'm about 100 miles from Sea World, 
Six Flags Magic Mountain, 24 miles from Sleazy Hollywood/beverly 
Hills, Bel-air...etc. California isn't what it's made out to be. 
It's only cool if you're coming from out of state. Cause usually 
people save up to go on vacation and stuff, so they usually have 
enough money to enjoy themselves. The cost of living out here is 
very high, if I were to rent a one bedroom apartment, with a 
small kitchen/bathroom/living room, it would cost me almost 
$1000 a month. I'm not joking, I've looked around for places and 
most places are that much and more. My parents pay rent on our 
house it's $980 a month, a small 3 bedroom house, one bathroom, 
kitchen, living room. That's all we got. My sister owns her own 
house, she pays about $1600 a month mortgage. It's crazy, I tell 
ya

hello, hello, hello. today was okay. i went to the fall fest. 
it was...__cant think of word__. does anyone know who mrs strom 
is??she used to be ms hagen. anyway, if you dont shes my science 
teacher. she was dancing at the fall fest old school to "Who let 
the dogs out" near some kids. they didnt notice for a while, but 
when one pointed it out, they cleared out pretty fast. that 
happend when she was doing the worm. just kidding. my friends 
and i just about died of laughter. 
 steph, dont worry be happy. i got a D- on my geography quiz. 
and i was so close to a C. thanks a lot ms huston. guess what it 
was on? (im so embarrassed) Europe! but hey, thats only cause i 
didnt read the assigned chapters. 6/10 isnt that bad. lol. most 
kids got 3 or 4. my report on Europe really helped me out. k

Hey what's up?
Well, i'm not going out with Jonathon and I never actually was 
either.  I just thought that he was a good dancer and for like a 
week I thought that he was pretty hot.  I still have it bad for 
Jack and everyone says that they think he still loves me.  I 
really hope so although I am prepared to face it if he doesn't.  
But ya know, true lasts forever and noone can successfully 
change someone else's heart, so I figure if we were meant to be 
that it's gonna happen sometime.  I think we'll eventually get 
back together and that's what mostly everyone thinks too so it's 
not like I'm the only one here.  He just has to sit down and 
realize that he likes me still and then he'll figure it out.  In 
the meantime, I'm still checking out hotties but I'm not looking 
for another bf yet.  I really hope that Jack'll come with me to 
my sister's wedding though.  It's not till Dec. 8 though so I 
hope that I can convince him by then that he should come.  I 
don't think that he'll reject the invitation anyway.  I mean

And to fill you in on the Jack situation for anyone who wants to 
know...well I'm planning on going to his house with Tyler on 
Friday to look Jack in the eyes and tell him how I really feel 
about him and see what happens.  Tyler said that he'll probably

go out with me again.  And if he doesn't then he's just a plain 
old fool.  I agree with that but I'm really scared.  I really

In answer to your question, yes.  The p2p groups are traveling 
this summer.  I'm in the high school group this time so I'm 
stuck with my mom.  I'm trying to go, I signed up but I'm not 
sure if I can scrape together enough money.  I have a job 
interview tomorrow so hopefully I'll get a job to help pay for 
it and it'll all be good.  We're going to England, Ireland,

As I sit here tonight, listening to the song from the Grinch, 
Where are you Christmas, I start to cry.  It's not from 
saddness, but more of an overwhelming feeling.  Like a 
realization of all the wonderful things that I have.  I have so 
much in life.  So many wonderful people that mean so much to 
me.  All of you and many others from my family and school.  
I am especially thankful for all the people from the trip, 
because you guys were all with me for a long time, and we've 
learned a lot together.  
I am especially thankful for my parents.  My mom does everything 
with me.  She shares her thoughts and feelings with me and tries 
the best she can to bring me up right.  My dad always also 
shares his thoughts with me and helps me to have fun wherever I 
go.  I will always respect them both for all they do.
And I am especially thankful for Bryan, because he has given me 
so much happiness in the past few months.  I can always count on 
him to put a smile on my face no matter how sad or mad I am.  
Even if he's not feeling good, he always comes around for me to 
help me out.  He's always listening to me complain and ramble on 
about everything from a to z.  I will always regard him as one 
of the most important people in my life for as long as I live.

I love Christmas time, I feel the same way about you Des. You

Hey everybody...Merry Christmas!!!  Hope you all have a good

Bryan....here's some answers 
1)  I like tons of different kinds of music, but I usually 
listen to rock and pop.
2)because it makes me feel good and it inspires me.  I usually 
get my best thoughts and ideas while listening to good music.
3)Yes, some songs bring back memories of when me and my bro were 
little or when we went on trips to different places.  Some songs 
remind me of Jack, sometimes good and sometimes bad things...but 
the best memories I get, well they're more of thoughts than 
memories, but they're of you. :)
4)Depending on the song I get a variety of feelings...music is a 
very important thing in my life and it's usually where I get 
most of my feelings from.  Sometimes it's even hard to get 
feelings without music.

A lot of times, music says what you're feeling, the lyrics 
interpret your feelings. I write a lot of music and songs and 
stuff, and I usually write what I'm feeling, it gets things off 
my mind and I can be angry through my music. Most of the 
thoughts lately have been of Desiree. She is like my "muse", she 
gives me inspiration to write. well, I gotta go

I've never really gone on vacation, but if I were to go 
anywhere, it would be to Minnesota to live forever and ever. I'm 
listening to Inna Godda DeVida right now, so it's my favorite 
song. It's 17 minutes long!! My favorite Family member is my 
sister Julie, we've been best friends since we were little and 
we've never ever gotten into a fight, ever. I love her!! And I 
love you Des!! I wish you were a family member!! hehe

My favorite vacationing spot i think would be Europe, even 
though it wasnt nessecarily a vactation!  Right now, the songs

probably my aunt diane.  she's really nice and cool!

1)UMD Women's Hockey Team because they rock and the games are

2)I play soccer, but I want to play hockey because of my answer

Here's my answers to my own questions:
1) California all the way!  I loved it when I was there a few 
years ago..and now I love it even more cuz I know that Bryan is 
there.  My second fav is Spain cuz it's beautiful and I'm so 
taking Bryan there well...once I become an aerospace engineer 
and start saving up.  They make pretty damn good money tho, so 
it shouldn't be too hard.
2)Lately I've been listening to Keeper of the Stars by Tracy 
Byrd and In the End by Linkin Park.  I like them because they 
both have words that I can indentify with like majorly.
3)My favorite family member right now is probably my dad.  He's 
really sweet to me and tries to understand what I'm going 
through.  He remembers what it's like to be a kid.  And he likes 
to spend money on me when he can, which is always good although 
that doesn't really matter much to me.  And the best thing about 
him is that when we go somewhere and there's no chairs left for 
me to sit down he lets me rest either my elbow or my head on his 
shoulder.  I love that...it makes me feel so special.
here's my answers to your questions LNZ:
1)I like to watch sports like football and hockey because I like 
contact sports.
2)I like to play sports like badminton because it's easier for 
me and because I'm not quite as strong as I used to be so it's 
hard for me to play football anymore.  And I like the 
concentration better than I like the actual athletic ability cuz 
I don't really have any.

Hey everyone!  What did everyone get for Valentine's Day?  

I got a lot of stuff and I feel so loved for once.
1. My mom gave me these cool pencils with different color lead 
for them, and a cake.
2. Ashes got me chocolates.
3. And...(best of all)  Bryan had flowers sent to me at school 
and it was soooo sweet.  It was so the best thing that happened 
to me for Valentine's Day like in my whole life.  
But, it was kinda funny today cuz they came with a balloon and 
it was like in my room and i had my ceiling fan on and I was 
talking on the phone to my friend and all the sudden I hear this 
boof like really loud so I screamed and I looked up and the 
balloon was like all stuck to the fan cuz it got all sucked 
up...and it was sad but I was laughing my ass off, cuz it was 
kinda funny too.  But yea...that was my Valentine's Day story.

considered ESP.  I don't really want to get into it cuz it's not 
really comfortable for me to talk about with just anybody.  
But, I don't really totally believe in it, no.  But I do think 
that you can predict the future, but it's not really ESP, it's

bad...like the fate that made me have seizures.  That could be 
considered bad in a way.  But there's also the fate that I met 
all of you guys.  I mean, life would have been rather boring if 
I wouldn't have.  You all are my friends and stuff.  So fate is 
fate and it's mostly good.  and a lot of times you have some 
control over it.  So make of it what you want.

im happy we got a snow day. im so so so tired!!!! i had to baby 
sit last night from 4 pm-12 or 1 am(cant remember) and the kid 
just did not want to go to sleep. okay, it wasnt THAT long, but 
i basically had to chase her around the house trying to get her 
to go to bed. plus i probably have to do it again tonight.... 
Sometimes it just isnt worth it.

matt is kind of wrong. no one is perfect, like des's seizures, i 
have asthma, and i know you have problems too. but its also 
worked in a good way, for instance going on the trip. you must 
be doing good in school to get the chance to go. a lot of people 
our age and older have never been out of the country (and bryan 
never out of the state :oP ).

I loved every day of the trip, but I'd have to say that I 
learned the most about the actual people during the homestay (my 
homestay mommie kicked ass)  and that one night that I snuck out 
of the hotel and wandered the streets of Barcelona.

Des has told me a lot about the trip, I've seen pics, it's like 
I was there. But I thought it was funny about the topless 
beaches and how there were mostly old people naked.
